Throughout my clinical career, academic training, and leadership experience, I have witnessed how disability is often misunderstood—not only medically, but administratively. Patients navigate complex healthcare systems while simultaneously trying to secure the financial benefits that sustain their families. Too often, claims are delayed or denied not because patients are unqualified, but because documentation fails to fully capture the functional impact of their condition.

As a Family Nurse Practitioner trained at Charles R. Drew University and a PhD scholar from UCLA, my work has centered on health equity, clinical precision, and systemic improvement.
